Design Brief
Bioved’s journey began in the 1990s, with its mission of delivering natural plant-based solutions for difficult-to-treat conditions. We collaborated on redesigning their logo in 2009. The earlier logo, featuring a rectangle, test tube, plants, and tablets—struggled to effectively convey the company’s mission. It was visually overwhelming, lacked corporate appeal, and ultimately was not working for them.
Our Approach
The freshly designed logo took the form of a leaf, symbolizing the company’s natural roots. The form of the leaf was crafted to enclose a laboratory beaker—a subtle nod to its scientific innovation. Working for the brand, through our ideation process we were able to suggest the tagline 'Inspired by Nature, Proven by Science,' which perfectly encapsulated the brand's essence. This tagline has become the foundation and inspiration for the Company since then and has been used effectively across all its communications and letters to instantly establish a position.
We realised that any standard font would not do any justice to the power logo. Hence we designed the typeface for the word ‘Bioved’ to complement the form of the leaf. The entire composition of the leaf-form with typeface for Bioved looks balanced and in harmony and accentuates the ‘Nature’. The colour palette has been customized to amplify the communication. This design was extended to product labels, creating a unified and timeless brand identity that reflects its commitment to nature and science.
